Gun name. And I think most old fashioned names that make a comeback are overrated.

The only (recent) name trend that I have any sort of dislike for is the creative/inventive spellings. I'm biased since I got stuck with a "creatively" spelled name myself. Depending on the name in question, there are some that are ok, but overall I just think they don't look very good and the majority of the names that are getting these creative spellings are ones I already think are pretty boring/basic. So they just sound like basic names and look pretty bad.
I actually love "boy" names on girls, and I'm happy to see that becoming more and more popular. I only wish we saw more "girl" names on boys. I would love to see all names just be gender neutral and people stop putting so much value on making sure a literal baby has an "appropriately" gendered name.

Juniors, the seconds, and the thirds. You're not royalty, it's just trite and unoriginal.
Are people genuinely naming their sons Elizabeth and Charlotte? I have apparently missed this trend entirely.
Yeah actually but rarely. I think stuff like that has always happened, rarely. This is US births...
In 2021 there were 13,285 baby girls and 13 baby boys named Charlotte.
In 2021 there were 7,190 baby girls and 5 baby boys named Elizabeth.

No I just thought of random girl names sorry.
I agree with boys names on girls and girls names on boys (generally speaking). I'm not keen on Kr8@tive spellings, either. Most surnames as first names don't jive with me either (especially for girls). There are always exceptions, however. These days I'm warming up to them on boys, but I usually prefer them in the middle.
Definitely agree with boys names for girls.

Yup, I can certainly agree to that. Masculine names for girls is a trend I'd never warm up to. It's certainly not a new trend, but it's definitely has gotten a lot more common in recent decades. (Little girls being named Rowan, Riley, Hunter, Spencer, James, Finley. God knows whatever else. It's even worse when the conventual spelling is altered in order to "feminize" the name. 😂😂😂
Other trends I despise are any trendy/Inventive spellings, as slightly mentioned. Most notably, Leigh/Lee suffixes and a random unnecessary 'Y'
Everleigh/Marleigh instead of Everly or Marley
Charlee/Kylee instead of Charlie or Kiley/Kylie
Rowyn/Robyn instead of Rowan or Robin

I've heard twice someone mentioning that Kelleigh is the original Irish spelling of Kelly (both Kelleigh are in their thirties).
The return of vintage names like Clara, Edith, Ruby, Ruth, Arthur, Frances, Wilbur ect
I know this is an unpopular opinion and there are exceptions of course, but overall just not my style lol

Yes I agree, although I call them old fashioned. I know so many elderly people with those names! I just don't see the appeal of those names.
