Your opinions are understandable; the only reason I dressed up Sharon was because the “air” sounds in my last name. If I were to ever have a child that bore my last name, I probably couldn’t use Sharon because of that. So, I thought it would be a nice alternative.

Just a friendly tip not to post your last name just in case. Internet Safety 101.
Sharon seems a bit dated to me, but then again, I am of an older age (i was born in 1986) so for me personally it was popular amongst my mother's friend group.
