Luke
Do you think it works as as a standalone name, or is it strictly a nn only? Also, what do you think of it in general?

I’ve never liked it. I don’t find the combination of sounds pleasant to say at all. Very back-of-the-throat and gaggy.

Love it so much, and it’s better as a stand-alone!

I love this name. There is something about it that is incredibly endearing to me. Perhaps it’s a character I love as well (Luke Triton, actually, not the Star Wars one) that’s warmed me up to this name, but I really love it either way! And it doesn’t have to be a nickname, it works pretty well, if not better, by itself.

I love Luke and actually much prefer it as a standalone name. I never really liked Lucas.

I think Luke is a fantastic name on its own. If it weren't the name of a friend's kid, I would genuinely consider it for a future son. It's easy to spell and remember, and goes with a lot (my favorited combo is Luke Edmund).
