I like Amala, its a name that's still used which is also a plus

Amalasuintha feels much too heavy and most people in English speaking countries wouldn't get it.
Amala is nice. It's a good nick name for Amalasuintha.

Amalasuintha has an interesting look to it. Amala, as a shortened form for Amalasuintha, seems logical to me, if that’s what you’re implying. I think both the names are quite nice.
