If you're looking for a short and spunky name, I think Lauren is better than Elise. Elise seems more formal and old-fashioned to me, and I think Lauren sounds better with your ln. I have met *plenty* of Laurens, and I constantly get called Lauren because my name is so similar (I'm still not sure if one of the teachers I've had all year knows that my name is *not* Lauren). What about Lauren Elise?
