Celeste
Thoughts?
LISTEN TO THE MUSTN'TS
- Shel Silverstein
Listen to the MUSTN'TS, child,
Listen to the DON'TS
Listen to the SHOULDN'TS
The IMPOSSIBLES, the WON'TS
Listen to the NEVER HAVES
Then listen close to me—
Anything can happen, child,
ANYTHING can be.

I quite like Celeste, though I'd more likely use it as a middle name. It goes with a lot!
I know a lot of people like it, but I can't imagine it on anyone under fifty. I prefer Celia.
Nice. I really like it and would use it for a child.
I love it. I think it would be a cool twin for Marina.
It is one of those names where the parental hopes are so clear that the kid seems almost jinxed into going the opposite route. I imagine Celeste as a little demon during childhood and an anything but celestial teen.
I sometimes imagine a kid named Christian becoming Wiccan or an atheist and a person named Hope as a pessimist. Similarly, I like Honor/Honour as a virtue name in theory but wouldn't use it in real life for similar reasons. I wonder what percentage of people named Angel/ Angelo/ Angela have committed crimes? Probably no more than usual, but it will seem ironic whenever it happens.
