I know someone named Edith who I really don't like and unfortunately that rubbed off on the name Enid as well for me. Also I believe Enid Blyton wasn't a very nice person to her own children and it does her first name any favours.
Ida is lovely, although I prefer as a middle name. It does well with the other vintage old fashioned names that are popular right name. I can see a little Ida with brothers named Theodore and Arthur.
