So great when our nerdiness comes in handy. :0)I had a client named Marcia. Already knowing a Marcia (nn Marci) who pronounced it, "mahr-SEE-uh" and was annoyed when people assumed it was "MARSH-uh," I decided to take a risk. When I met my client I asked if it was "mahr-SEE-uh" and got pretty much the same response that you did.
