Angel
What do you think of Angel? It’s now in the top 100 for boys in America. Do you see it as masculine, feminine, or unisex?

On a boy I think it's decent enough if it's a part of their culture. On a girl it kind of makes me think of a "performer" name. Like a stripper or adult film star. Not that those people don't have value in the world because they do... but it strikes me as a sexy performer name than a legal one.

It's been in the top 100 for 20+ years, but I don't actually encounter it much. It's unisex. NMS
For a guy it seems kind of like Angelo, Jesus, Saint / Santos, Adonis.
For a girl it seems kind of like Angela, Trinity, Crystal, Halo.

I wouldn't use it but I like it. Where I live it's more common for girls so I see it as unisex but more feminine.

It’s ok for others, but I wouldn’t use it on a child. I guess it’s technically unisex, but I prefer it on boys, probably because of the association with the TV shows Buffy and Angel. Elaborated forms such as Angelique etc are better for girls imo.

Love it. I think it's clearly unisex. I like the Spanish pronunciation AHN-hell, but wish the English pronunciation would come back in style for boys. You see it sometimes in 19th century British novels and it's quite charming.

I’m not a fan of it for girls. I prefer Angelina or Angela. I think it’s okay for Hispanic boys. I knew a Cuban-American kid named Angel but the pronunciation was more like ANH gell.

“Girl, you’re my Angel, you’re my darrrrlin annngeeel”. That’s a song that I grew up with. Can’t say that I’m a huge fan of that song, lol. But, that’s what the name makes me think of. As for the name, I think it’s cool; I’ve known two girls Angel, making my first impression feminine. However, I met a really handsome, Hispanic dude called Angel. So, now, my feelings are that it’s a unisex name.

I don't like it for either, but I see it as feminine
