Harrison, Gavin, Helena, Willow, Lydia, and Julia replaced Cormac, Tristan, Morgana, Zoe, Clarissa, and Marjolaine. (Honorable mentions go to Reed & Lavinia, which were on my list in the interim.)
Harrison has been a peripheral name for me - liked, but not on my PNL - for... decades? When I was a teenager there was a sweet little boy at my family's church named Harrison, which I suppose is a positive influence. But a very negative association with the name Harris (a name I'd also liked) later in life caused me to avoid thinking about Harrison for many years. That negative association hasn't been in my life for... ten years? More? So I've let myself love Harrison again.
And this is the first time in a while that a name from the "Julia family" has entered my Top 10... and even longer since it was
Julia, specifically. The classic variant is, currently, the most appealing. In addition, Lydia is one of those names that has always hovered around the edge of my Top 10 (like Lavinia), so I'm kind of glad she's finally in there.
Since I did not participate in the March 2013 thread, I have no ten-year comparison to make.
