Thoughts on the name Misty?
Cute name or too stripperish / sounds like a name for a horse?

Misty is a name that I’d actually use on a daughter, lol.

Misty is a total GP of mine, and probably the only "English adjective" name I enjoy. She needs a grounded (even boring) middle name, though, otherwise she'll turn ludicrous.

I associate it with Misty from the Pokemon anime. It isn't awful, but I agree with others that it doesn't sound very ''serious'' on a human. Could be a cute nickname gor a ''M'' name though.

My main association is the book "Misty of Chincoteague" by Marguerite Henry. It's a great story about - you guessed it - a horse

Yup, this. Misty out of Phantom by Pied Piper. I was well versed in Chincoteague Ponies as a child. I once met her grandson, Cloudy.

It's definitely a horse or dog or cat name. Also a stripper's stage name, but a very dated one, like one who did her thing in the early eighties and now is just a frump going by her real name which is Marcia or Karen.

Don't like it, yes stripperish, horsey

My only associations are horses and a dog. Not a fan of it on a person.

I don't like it. My main association is the slightly deranged character in Yellowjackets.
