Hopelessly canine. Isabella is popular right now, but Bella seems to be a full, independent name only on dogs. People named Isabella sometimes use it as a nn, but I'veheard more of them use Issie, no doubt because of all the pooches. There are a few Isabella people in my family tree, all of them born in the late 1890s and all known as Bella, I believe.
I wouldn't use Isabella, Isabelle or Bella. I would seriously consider naming a daughter Isobel, which in my experience doesn't need a nn.
