I like Deborah, but it’s too much of a baby boomer name to me. Debra just looks annoying, and I don’t know why it got popular as it did.

Deborah is the middle name of one of my nieces. Her middle name is honouring after one of her grandmother’s who was born in the 1950s.

Deborah has that cute meaning but it’s really powerful and impactful for a girl. I like the nickname Deb and Debbie. It’s kind and grown so not immature. Debra is also cute :)

I like Deborah much better, Debra looks incomplete.

Deborah is a very nice name, and I vastly prefer this spelling.

Deborah suffered from its own popularity, back in the 1950s where I live. I like it a lot; one of the few biblical names that I don't have an instant biblical association with, and I love the idea of an ancient-world Deborah sitting under a tree and judging Israel! The only nn I enjoy is Deb; Debby and Debs are quite simply awful.

Debra is ludicrous. I don't see the point of naming a human child after female underwear. Debra, and her siblings Detights and Despencer - I suppose Despencer could be the boy. Why anyone ever needed to dumb a perfectly ordinary name like Deborah to something as silly as Debra is quite beyond me.
