Deborah
I've been thinking about Deborah a lot lately. I know many will dismiss it as dated and dull, but it sounds refreshingly staid to me, especially in the sea of Lunas, Camilas, and Everleighs. I also like Devorah (and even Devra, like a Hebraization of Debra). I suppose I started favoring Deborah after my fried told me that her friend, a 30-year-old named Roberta "Birdie," named her daughter Deborah "Didi" (unsure of the nickname's spelling) in honor of an ailing relative. Some combos:Deborah Eugenie / Eugenia
Deborah Eulalie / Eulalia
Deborah Juliet
Deborah Tanith
Deborah Xanthe
Deborah Violet
Deborah Mathilde / Matilda
Deborah Enid
Deborah Winifred
Deborah Agnes
Deborah Ianthe
Deborah Oenone
Deborah Cleo / Clio
Deborah Zoe
Deborah Celine
Deborah Cecile / Cecilia
Deborah Gwyneth
Deborah Valancy
Deborah Felicity
Deborah Jocasta
Deborah Jocosa
Deborah Sibylle

I love the British pronunciation of Deborah a lot. Deb would be my preferred nickname, I think it's really chic. I love the idea of a cat named Deborah.Deborah Vivian or Deborah Vivienne is a combo that seems to really speak to me. Of your combos, I love Deborah Valancy (that's a new one for me!) and Deborah Celine.

I've always liked Deborah and Devorah, and been fascinated by the different pronunciations: DEB(e)ra but deVORa. And in Afrikaans it looks like Debora and sounds like deBOOera. I find Debbie such a turn-off that I wouldn't consider using Deborah as a fn, though Deb is brisk and business-like and a good choice for a nn if necessary.I know a Deborah Lyndall, which I find absolutely stunning.

It's my mom's name so it has a special meaning to me. She pronounces it de-BORE-ah rather than deb-rah. Her middle name is Ann so all of your combos are way more interesting.

Devora is nice (I prefer that to the Devorah or Devra spellings, and the nickname Dev is cute), but I could never get behind Deborah / Debra. Not because of the dated nature of the name so much as I've always found it cold. Deb is icier to me than Dev, even - that middle B really bothers me in a way I can't explain. I don't even like Debbie. (I don't like Libby, or Liberty, either; but Elizabeth and Tabitha are lovely. So I can't explain why some Bs bother me more than others.)
