Re: Elizabeth & Charles
I wonder how this event will affect the popularity of the names Elizabeth and Charles. Or if it will at all! Maybe there will be a few more baby girls with the middle name Elizabeth. I like Charles ok; I've always found Charlie very cute, and I love the NN Chaz. Elizabeth is a nice name but I guess I'm so used to it that it doesn't seem like anything special to me. I do like Eliza a lot, and Betsy has really been growing on me. I was watching the movie Steel Magnolias when I heard the big news, and came up with "Magnolia Elizabeth" as a commemorative combo. I guess Elizabeth Magnolia sounds nicer. Lizzie Magnolia sounds like a plucky character from a children's book.

I wonder as well. I'm fairly certain Elizabeth will see a rise in popularity, especially in England. Over here in the states, (currently ranked at #14, I think) might go up a few ranks, #13,12 or #11 maybe. Don't see it entering the top 10's, but who knows. It could just surprise us. Hard to say for Charles. That one's either or at this point.
