Greta and Tove/Tova
Have we talked about either of these lately? I like them both a lot but I know my SO would say no to both. What do you think of them, though? What middle names would you use? Thanks! :)

I guessed that Tova would sound like toe + va, TOHva; this site confirms that. And it puts me right off. No doubt it'd work just fine in Israel, but in an English-speaking environment ... I'm fond of toes, but they aren't the most popular body part for some reason.I like Greta very much, provided it's got a short e, as if it were Gretta. And I think of it as an independent name, not a nn for Margaret (which I also love and would use rather than Greta, since it's a family name).

I’m thinking of the Swedish Tove/Tova, not the Hebrew Tova!

Honestly, I used to dislike Greta, now I neither dislike, nor like it... Actually, Greta seems less annoying, especially paired with Tova. Greta Camilla & Tova Linnea or
Greta Lilly & Tova Iris P.S. Is Tova pronounced TOO-va?

Tova Iris is fantastic. And yes, that’s how it’s pronounced :)

Thanks!
I really like Tova! (I'm fond of -oo- sound in names).
