I’m pro-Isabelle. I do prefer Isabel but Isabelle is clearly beautiful as well. Had it not become so popular, it would probably be number one or two on my list. As is, I’m starting to care much less about popularity or whether people will be impressed by my taste in names (my son is Oliver) so Isabel is actually probably near the top. I just haven’t made a list in a long time.
My taste is becoming more pedestrian too, though it was never wacky or esoteric to begin with.
Anyway, Isabelle is beautiful, just absolutely beautiful. It’s delicate and elegant and all the good things.
