Linda and Lynda
Thoughts on Linda and spelling alternative Lynda?
I like it because it reminds me of linden trees. Ready for a comeback?
Is it weird that I sort of like Lynda? How would you rate this variant?
I think it's because I also like Lynn and Lynda just seems very green and fairy-like to me and less dated than Linda.
But I guess it could look like a trendy mess to some?

The Lynda I've met was born in late 1990s. I liked it. The vibe I get from it is something like a combination of Gladys, Rosa, Stephanie. Or I feel like it's glamorous in a very casual understated way? I don't think the Y in it comes across much different than the one in Gwendolyn, Lynette, or Lynn, which are common spellings here.
Linda is a sweet name. Yes, I think it could come back. It's not much different than Lucinda really, which is a favorite of mine. I also like Brenda and Ethelinda, but those are more harsh.

Have a couple friends with the name Linda, and they are a couple decades apart, so it still gets use. it is attractive and rather charming, but please, no subbing in Ys, looks so silly.
