Sibset from a tattoo
The other day I was queuing behind a woman who had her kids’ names tattooed on her arm. They were :
Abbygael (I think this was the spelling anyway a kr8tiv spelling of Abigail).
Eléonore
Timéo
“And I wish there was a treaty we could sign
I do not care who takes this bloody hill
I'm angry and I'm tired all the time
I wish there was a treaty,
I wish there was a treaty
Between your love and mine”

In French, this spelling is rather common. Abygael is slightly more popular, and Abygaelle is even more popular than that. It is not pronounced the same way as Abigail. It is popular due to the popularity of Gaëlle and Maëlle. And using a y in place of an i is common in French. Myriam is the classic French spelling, not Miriam. Maryse is far more common than Marise.
That's just bizarre. I just can't believe that the same person who named Abbygael named Eléonore
and Timéo.
and Timéo.
I guess having a gross misspelling tattooed on your flesh Is about as bad as a lifetime of a misspelled given name.
Always reminded of this coworker I used to have got angry because I asked what "Natile" was on his arm and it was his daughter's name pronounced "Natalie." I still assume he got angry because he was asked that a lot and realized he was a moron for naming her with that spelling.
Abbygael got the short straw, and is really mismatched. Perhaps a stepchild?
I've been under the impression people usually only tattoo'd their kids names after they've passed away...

My sister has her 3 sons names tattooed on her arm. They are all living. It's fairly common where I live.
Abbygael is horrendous. The others are lovely.
