As these names become more popular (something to do with celebrity's picking them, probably) I think they will become more commonly used and then people will be less likely to associate them with the celebrities who made them popular in the first place. However, maddening as it is, this is the way of the world in naming trends. I have had favorites ousted because of their rising popularity just as you've questioned whether to use names because they are associated with celebs. Many of us won't use names that our families don't like. There are lots of reasons to select, or not select, a name for your child. As long as one can live with the consequences of their child being Emma P. or River-no-not-after-Phoenix, then that is what matters. ----Betsy-----
