If you could have another family members name...
Whose name would you choose? Who do you think has the best name in your family? Basically I’m saying another relatives name you actually wouldn’t mind having yourself. You don’t have to say their name if you don’t want, but why would you choose that name in particular? I guess if you’re feeling extra, one you wouldn’t want to be. If all of that makes sense.
As an Isis, the names on my Mother’s side are actually kinda lame. My second-cousins names are okay? But I like Nathaniel, which is my Uncles name. Mercy is so lovely and I would have loved that as an honoring name for my Grandmother. She was a strong woman. On my Dad’s name the names are a bit more interesting. From Yvette, Rosemarie, and Arden.
I think I really would’ve liked to be an Isis Dominique, as Dominique is my Dad’s name. As a first name, I think I would’ve liked to be Natalia the most. Yeah, that sounds about right. I think my cousin has the most beautiful name of all my cousins. Natalia is pretty, elegant, and neat.

I recently discovered that I had a great-great-aunt Ophelia on my mother's side, and I like that name.
Most of the names in my family are not my style whatsoever.
I wouldn't mind being called my mum's name (Catherine) or my maternal grandmother's name (Margaret). But those aren't very exciting choices. One of my cousins married a woman named Briar, which is a pretty cool name.
If I were a boy, I would honestly love to have my great grandpa's name: Valerijonas.

Froukje Roharia
Froukje means 'little lady' in Frisian. Roharia is a Maori form of the word "rosary". Apart from sounding awesome, Frisian and Maori are both minority people groups, and I'd like to honour both my ancestors and my minority heritages

I just love my grandma’s name, Genevieve. I always thought it seemed like a princess name. I also really like long, feminine names with a lot of nicknames in general. I would love to have that name and that’s why it is my top girl name, and of course, as an honor to my grandma. She goes by Jennie, but doesn’t care too much. I definitely didn’t get my love of names from her, because she just really doesn’t care what people call here or how they spell it and she told my grandpa to name their kids himself, which he did. She has gotten more opinionated about it as she’s gotten older with grand and great-grandkid names and will occasionally engage in conversations.
I shall be Mary then. I think I'd be a good Mary lol. We have limited options I really like in my lot.
Isis Dominique named after a father sounds neat. I also like Mercy, Yvette, Rosemarie, Arden, Nathaniel. Natalia's ok.
I've already got my great grandfather's name, Noel.
Realistically, I'd lean toward names that sound vaguely like mine, so maybe Veda, Kora, or Dorothy as a FN, Hazel, Estel, or Mozelle as a MN. Jessie after my great grandmother is also easy to imagine, since Jessica was #1 when I was born yet I still like it. Plus I always liked the (vetoed) suggestion of being Azalea after my grandmother.
Azalea Dorothy, Veda Mozelle, Kora Hazel, Jessie Deborah...
Ivy Octavia would be pretty, but my familial connection with those two is pretty distant. Marie Nicole would be very basic, but I like it.
Some I wouldn't want to be are Loren (which my parents actually considered), Gordon, Buddy, Stevie, Page, Hettie, Carole, Lily, Emily, Amy, Viola, and Kasey - although, I think some like Amy Viola potentially look cute; they're not for me.

I honestly have my favorite name of any of my family members, but there are a few others in my family that I like. I have cousin of some kind named Laurel, which I like for it being nature-y and having L sounds. My sister is Leah (pronounced LAY-ə), which I also like the sound of. Her name gets mispronounced as LEE-ə, though, and I don't envy how often she has to correct people.
On my father's side...
I wouldn't mind being a Lorenzo (my grandfather's name. His adoptive father was named the same). It's a quite handsome name, and very medieval-sounding. My grandfather also bears the name Luciano, which was given since he was born on Saint Lucy's Day (December 13th). I also have a soft spot for it!
There are three women named Ana on that side, which is not bad, but very overused!
I have a cousin named Patricia, whose name I find elegant.

And on my mother's side...
The simplicity of Fabián is what I adore. It's classy without being quirky.
Lucrecia is highly dated, but it makes me think of a sunny day, because it reminds me of (unrelated) Lucia. In fact, the bearer, my great-granny, is a ray of sunshine. :) Victoria, her second name, is timeless.

I'd avoid most of them ... my Dad was Cecil, and I'd have been a happy Cecily. There were Florence people on both sides of my family - actually, on one side there was a Florrie. Florence is becoming OK. Apart from that, my cousin Margaret got lucky. I've got Anne, from my paternal grandmother, as my mn and I'm happy with it. I could be Cecily Margaret Anne!
On the male side, for insterest, I could have lived with Thomas, Graham, Robin and William.
