Coral? No, Coralie! Coral is more and more unappealing the more I say it inside of my head. Cora is nice too.

One of those names that I really liked when I was about 9 or so, but I'm not so keen on it now.

Too close to Carol, so it comes across as drab and dated even though it probably isn't. I used Caroline rather than Carol, and I would use Coralie in a heartbeat but I'd never use Coral.

I like the color, but I don’t like it as a name. Maybe it’s because it makes me think of a really trashy person I knew.

One of my favourites - I absolutely adore it! I love the natural association.

It’s okay but I prefer Cora.

Unfortunately, Coral doesn't sound as pretty as the object looks. It actually sounds more unisex, if anything.
I prefer the sound of Carol, and I don't even like that name. Coraline still has that same sound in it, but its much better. You can still nickname her Coral or Cora. I think that's pretty neat.

To me it feels to close to Carol *my dyslexic brain always initially reads it as Carol* and Carol doesn't appeal to me. I can be swayed into a variant like Coralie or Coraline but Coral isn't necessarily my thing.

I like the color and the beachy association, but the word coral just doesn't roll very smoothly out of the mouth.

Actually love this underused name. In the same league with names like Jade or Robin, but far less common and quite a bit prettier.
