Ruby, Garnet and sapphire are gorgeous.
An interestng one is Olivine "Ah - la - veen" Olivine is a mineral found on the earth, moon, Mars, meteorites, and in the dust around young stars and comet tails. Some are gem-quality and are called Peridot. Periodot is the birthstone for August. It weathers quickly and that helps with climate change mitigation. I liked this name when I heard it and now that I've researched it, I love it even more!

I love it too and the fact that it forms in dust belts around young stars and falls to Earth! Seriously very cool. Although I pronounce it more like Ol - uh - veen.
If you are talking about English stone names, think they're good and somewhat unique (but not all of them). My favorites are Topaz, Peridot, Diamond, Sphene, and Amethyst. Aside of them, there are also Jade, Emerald, Amber, Sapphire, Goldie, Tourmaline, Aquamarine, Ruby, Carnelian, Beryl, Garnet, Opal, Catseye, Calcite, Pearl, Rocky, Lapis Lazuli, etc.
But won't you name your character/child any names like Stone, Fossil, or anything like that, right?

I like Margaret very much, but I think more of daisies than of pearls. Apart from that, I don't find gemstone names attractive; they seem cold and hard.
