I don't see it as usable but I do like it.

I just don’t think it is usable. It’s difficult to say (my fifth graders just did an astronomy unit and they all struggled with pronouncing this), prominently tied to a historical figure and seems too unusual. It’s got a charm, but I can’t see it on a modern person. I don’t like any unusual names with Leo that I can think of. My favorite would just be Leo, but I also like Leonardo and Leon.

Am I the only person who thought of the astronomer first?

In my case, the song is referring very specifically to the astronomer. I think of him and the song in the same moment.

I don't think I'd use it, but the sounds of it is nice. It's funny that so many people think of Bohemian Rhapsody. I do think of a song, but I think of Galileo by the Indigo Girls. If I were to use it, I'd make it a middle name.

Galileo is too Bohemian rhapsody to use. I love Leocadia. And Leona obviously but that's not on Galileo level of unusual. Leonidas, Napoleon and Cleopatra would be good siblings if your aim is unusual historical famous Leo names.

I can only imagine Galileo in a combo with Scaramouch.

Or Figaro; or even Beelzebub!
