It's surprising how many flower-inspired names there are, more than I thought. What is your verdict on these names? I will also comment!
-
Alyssa: From the alyssum flower. Personally I like it, it's original and a bit fairy.
-
Blossom: It's okay, but too hippie for me.
-
Bryony: A flowering vine-like plant. Not bad, but maybe a bit difficult to pronounce? Sorry.
-
Calanthe: A type of orchid. For a character of a Fantasy novel or for a nymph is good, but other than that it would be a bit odd.
-
Calla: The calla lily is a funnel-shaped flower. I don't like it, sounds like "Shut up" in Spanish.
-
Camellia: I like it! Similar with
Camila, right? But
Camellia is cute.
-
Cassia: Known as the golden shower tree. Mmm, not bad, but it's not my style.
Cassie could be a cute nickname.
-
Clover: A bit hippie, but this one is better than
Blossom. Good name.
-
Cynthia: It's the name of a shrub with yellow dandelion-like flowers. I hear this name a lot but it's not my style. However, I don't dislike it.
-
Daisy: A good one. Classic, romantic and girly, but maybe too cute for my taste.
-
Flora: Oh, I like it! Once I met a teacher named
Flora who was the most sweet-hearted person, so yeah, I like it.
-
Hazel: Also a good name. Lovely.
-
Holly: A evergreen shrub associated with
Christmas. Hmm, it's not my style and sounds more like a nickname than a full name, so I don't like it. Sorry.
-
Hyacinth: A bit too old-fashioned for me, so no.
-
Ivy: A types of climbing plant that have yellow flowers and dark purple berries. Cute! But it's too short and too cute.
-
Jasmine: Beautiful, but I don't like that the movie
Aladdin has taken over the name.
-
Iris: This name is becoming more popular and I hear more lately. Cute but not too cute.
-
Lily:
Ah, the most popular one. It's okay, but it's too common, too short (sounds more as a nickname) and too cute for my taste. Sorry!
-
Magnolia: Oh, interesting. I like it, sounds mature and misterious.
-
Marguerite: A bit old-fashioned, but it's better than the typical
Margaret.
-
Myrtle: No, sorry, too old-fashioned for me.
-
Petunia: The name is good, but sadly I don't know why it's sounds like a petulant child.
-
Primrose: Similar with
Petunia, but more princess and cute.
-
Rose: I don't like
Rose itself, but I like long
Rose- names, like
Rosemary,
Rosalind or
Rosalía.
-
Violet: Classic and pretty. Not bad.
-
Willow: Sounds cool but it's not my style, However, I think it's a good name.
Sorry if it's too long! Get these names of the Pampers page. There are more, but I didn't want them to be too long. If you can think of more flower names, leave it in the comments!
