Mn for Lyra? Baby is due in FIVE days!
Help! My baby is due in five days and my partner and I cannot decide on a middle name. He’s Mexican so maybe something Spanish? I like mythology and nature names. Last name is similar to Mendoza. Some of my ideas (just so you have an idea of our taste; none of these are solid options):Lyra Marina
Lyra Medina
Lyra Selena
Lyra Persephone
Lyra River
Lyra Willow

I quite like Lyra Medina, but not with Mendoza. It would depend on how similar that is to the surname. Lyra Ginevra
Lyra Josephine
Lyra Julieta
Lyra Christina
Lyra Amelia
Lyra Solange
Lyra Delphine
Lyra Sabina
Lyra Elena
Lyra Daphne
Lyra Ines

I like Lyra Medina. I like idea of Marina, but I know several Marinas in real life and I'm not gonna lie... their name does make me think of boats. Sometimes, if I'm hungry, seafood pizza/pasta for some reason. And in reality, it's just...I dunno... not a brilliant name? I don't really like it that much. I feel it should be pretty, but I don't find it pretty. But I like in theory.Spitballing names, what about:Spanish:Lyra Adelina / Lyra Adelita
Lyra Armida
Lyra Azucena (also means "madonna lily")
Lyra Beatriz
Lyra Carmela
Lyra Esperanza
Lyra Estrella (means "star")
Lyra Genoveva
Lyra Inés
Lyra Marcelina (if Marcela is no go...or maybe even Lyra Marceline, which I think I like the best of the three)
Lyra Martina
Lyra Rocío (means "dew", sound is sorta off though maybe)Nature names:Lyra Celandine (I just find Celandine a criminally underused name, the name of a plant which also means "swallow (bird)")
Lyra Celinda (apparently this is the Spanish name of a plant?)
Lyra Daphne / Dafne / Dafina

Me too but my partner insists it sounds too much like Marsala. He won’t entertain it at all

I knew a Phoebe Lyra. Would Lyra Phoebe appeal to you? I think it sounds good; not sure about Spanish, though. Others have suggested Lyra Marianne, which I also like.ETA: I prefer Lyra Penelope to Lyra Persephone; and perhaps Lyra Felicity might work too. I enjoy the rhythm.
