Elise is great. I went to school with an Elyse. Carey seems more of a surname so in this case, I'd say Carrie is better. Another alternative could be Carrigan- which is known to be a last name too so I don't know why I think it's better.

Well, you do you. It's a nice-sounding combo, for sure! I like Carey better than Carrie and you're perfectly right about Elise. It makes me think of the piano composition.

I like it. I kind of get a similar impression of it popularity-wise that I do with Veronica. In other words, you hear it fairly often and it's a familiar name, but you don't personally know very many people, if any, that actually have the name.

Elise is one of my favorites, actually! One combination that I love is Elise Carina or Carina Elise. Those are two of my favorite names. What are your opinions on them?

I wonder if this name is going to start rising again because I feel like I've been seeing it a lot this past year... I knew an Elise growing up and an Alyse (said as uh-leese rather than eh-leese).

Anyway, yes Elise is pretty. I don't think Elise Carey is very pretty as a combo though.

Elise is a long-time favorite of mine. I've only met one person named Elise. I like the spellings you have chosen for both names. For some reason, the "Carey" spelling seems more in the same vibe as Elise than does the "Carrie" spelling. Beautiful! Love it!

Elise is lovely and classy, and sort of romantic without being frilly. It's on my name list too!

I prefer Elise as a nn for Elisabeth. In South Africa it is usually pronounced with an s sound; if parents want it to have a z sound, they spell it Elize. I wouldn't call it romantic or classic: it's just another nickname used as a full name. And I've known plenty of them!

I've never liked it. I dislike the sound and the look, but more than anything I dislike the feeling it gives me. It reminds me of Annabelle - one of those names that everyone are ust supposed to love because it's so feminine and sweet. But it's not.
