It makes me think to Peg Leg Pete's girlfriend, so I don't have such a good opinion about it. ;-D

I named my mini cooper clubman Ermintrude "Trudy". I loved it, but it got totalled after someone rear-ended me several years ago. RIP Trudy.

I think it sounds like someone trustworthy and persevering, with maybe a touch of sophisticated whimsy, but I don't love it as a full name.

It's a whole lot better than Gerty, but since I wouldn't use Gertrude anyway (although it is a family name), and I tend to avoid nns as full names, that isn't really important to me. And it doesn't sound like 'truffles'; it's just the first three letters.
