Dream
I saw today that Dream had risen over 500 places in the US in the last 5 years, and I knew it'd been used by someone famous several years ago, but I was a little surprised. How popular do you think it could get? What would you think of it if it were in the top 100, or top 50, or even top 10?
What names do you think it seems similar to?(It reminds me of Destiny and Hope, if I think of it as becoming common.)

Thanks for pointing this out. It's one I hadn't noticed.Dreama or Drema was not uncommon as a given name among women born in West Virginia and adjacent parts of Kentucky and Virginia in the early 20th century. I think I prefer Dreama to Dream as a name.

I would think it would be pretty close to rock bottom. It's terrible so I hope it says low in ranking.

Gosh, I don't like the sound or look. I don't mind the image though. And when I think about it for more than 1 second my mind goes to that Everly brothers song and I forget my objections or even what I was thinking about. Dream dream dreeeeeeeeeeamEdit: I think "Dreams" would be a VERY ... funky...? cool in a novel kind of way name. I'm thinking relative to random pluralizations like:Brooks (instead of one brook, TWO)
Parks (instead of one park, TWO)
Chambers (not just one chamber, but TWO, yes I've seen this as a name)
etc
Wouldn't Dreams be an interesting answer to that? Dreams McDermott? Dreams Cunningham? Dreams Jefferson? I dig it

This is one of those weird word names I don't really care for it in a general sense, but I could also sort of see myself identifying with it if it had been my own name.. if that makes sense?

As far as word names go, I really dislike it...I don't think it'll get too much more popular. It has more middle name potential than first.

Reminds me of names like Journey, True, Saint, Legacy, Stormi, Reign, Lyric, Miracle, Royal, Nevaeh. It's usable, and makes a nice little statement. Nms personally, but it's kinda neat.
Dream Kardashian born Nov 2016 - it could get moderately more popular once she is older, if she likes to perform, is effectively marketed, and especially if she is actually talented. I could see top 100, remotely could be top 50 like Nevaeh for a few years. I doubt higher or longer, mostly because the meaning is not namey enough to be a very popular name and not a fad. I think it's one of those word-names that will always be stuck with a vaguely stripperish vibe because of the meaning/connotation 'fantasy,' and although it never matters much for actual people named Dream, I think that would make a lot of people who otherwise like it, hesitate to use it.
