Very singsongy, the kind of name that gets stuck in your head even if you don't like it. It's very cute. I like it as a nickname for Layla but maybe it's too cutesy for a full name. The "ee" sounds nicknamey, but Kaylee is a fine full name. It's the repeated L combined with the "ee" ending that makes Laylee so nicknamey and not great as a full name IMO.

It sounds like it is trying not to be so many names that it just sounds like all of those names. Not a fan.

I don't like Laylee. It sounds like someone wanted to name their child Kaylee but couldn't because it was already taken by family or friends. There are some similar names I like a lot better - Eulalie and Lindley.

I know a Leyli who pronounces it like laylee. I prefer that spelling.

Honestly, it just sounds like noise. Layla, Leila, Leeloo, Lyla, Kylie, Kayla, Keely, etc., and now Laylee. Uninspired, unoriginal, trendy, cutesy noise with no depth. Some of these names have more historical context than others and I get that, but that’s not why most of them were chosen over the last few decades.

Sounds like a made up yuppy name. There are so many lovely names that are similar, like Layla, Leilani, Lily, etc.
