I have a vague memory of meeting a
Cecily as a young kid and getting it mixed up with Sicily and sesame. It still reminds me of sesame seeds, in that I feel
Cecily is beige and maybe a little nutty.
It strikes me as vivacious and proper/uppercrust but not very grounded.
Cecile or
Marjorie seem similar but more grounded to me, comparatively. It reminds me of
Emily, which I don't like, and
Rosalie, which is pretty in a vintage postcard type way.
I don't dislike it overall -it's classic, energetic, and a change of pace from
Cecilia: less dainty but somehow more prissy? Kind of like
Viviana vs
Vivian- but I don't really like it either.
