Mason?
WDYT? I didn't realise this name was so popular..."When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do..." - Albert Einstein

It’s fine, but it is extremely popular. I live in an extremely small town and can think of 5 people named Mason.

I find its popularity funny/endearing because it coincided with Mason jars being marketed as decor. It's like it's mediocre and proud of it. And it's definitely riding on the coattails of Jason, which is a more illustrious name. It's respectable, though: strong, practical, familiar. One of the better occupational names imv.

I love this name! It is manly but also cute. I love Mace as a nickname. Its okay by itself too. Even though I like Jason, I prefer the sound of this. And yes, this name is really freaking popular! That's why I will never use it, despite being a fan of it.

It was my least favorite top 10 boys for a long time, but now I guess that spot goes to... uh... Oliver?? Anyway I don't like Mason. I'm not fond of occupation or surname names, generally. Some I can come around on - but Mason isn't one. May it continue to fall.

It's not my style, but at least it exists! I taught a boy whose given name was Maeson, and that really seemed unfortunate.

Seems like the trend of Mason has passed, it feels out of style. On top of that it's always felt too smug to me.

I mean, it's fallen out of the top 10, but 11 isn't exactly out of style

Really? It's been pretty popular for a while - sort of a twenty-first-century Jason update. Not my cup of tea, though (I don't really go for the "occupational surnames as first names" trend: Mason, Cooper, etc.).
