I only know this name from the show/book series The Lying Game by Sara Shepard. I think I only read the first book so I'm not sure if he was the villain, but it definitely seemed like they were setting him up to be the villain on the tv show. Then the show was canceled, so nothing was resolved. The name itself is sort of generic to me, in that preppy/Southern "mother's maiden name becomes son's name" way. It also sounds like "there" in my accent, which is a downside. But I don't find it terribly objectionable. Just a little plain.

Lookth like a lithp. I vaguely associate it with upper-class traditional East Coast wealthy families - am I right? But that would be as a surname ...
