Charlie
What y’all think of Charlie?I never particularly liked it, but I never disliked it either. Reminds me of Charlie Watts (RIP), Charlie Puth, Charlie Sheen, and *sigh* Charli D’Amelio.Speaking of which, how do you feel about it on a girl? The variant spellings? Charli, Charleigh, Charlee, etc._______________________________________________________

Its cute. As a legal name, its okay..but I prefer it on a guy. I also prefer it as a nickname. Its a good short form of Charles, Charlene and the like. Its very playful.

I like it, I think it's very cute and spunky, especially on a girl. it's a good nickname for Charlotte. Either Charlie or Charli is fine, though I like the former a bit more, anything else will get a pass. Charleigh? why?? what an unnecessary spelling

I like it on a guy. I considered naming my son Charles called Charlie.
I don't like it on a gal. It's not a natural nick for fem Char- names, which are pronounced with a SH sound. Charlie has a TCH sound like that in Charles. So on a girl, it seems like her full name must be Charles. If Charli/Charlee/Charleigh is pronounced with a SH sound, I think it's okay, but don't particularly like it.

I don’t like it as a given name but it’s cute as a nickname for a young boy named Charles.
It’s also a cute nickname for a girl named Charlotte or Charlene.
I like the Charlie spelling.

It sounds like a dog name to me. I used to love it as a kid though.

It's friendly and down-to-earth on a man. On a girl it's self-consciously butch, the kind of name given by a mother who gets her drawers all knotted up if someone dares to say her daughter is pretty or gives her something pink.
Also, I've heard of way more female dogs and cats named Charlie than male.
