Re: Devon
Devon is IMO a gal name referring to a place.
I like it.
I don't like Devon for boys. It's not a unisex name to me. Looks wrong.
But since it's a place, I could see how it could be used as a unisex nameDevin is an entirely different name, and it's for guys.
I don't care for it but it's not awful.
I get annoyed at the idea that Devon f is just a variant of it.
On a girl, Devin is a cross-gender name, like Dylan. Not my style.- mirfak

Really? For me it’s the complete opposite. I find it fairly unisex but it just looks kinda awkward on a girl for me. Maybe it’s because on the -von ending. I would probably do Sevan if I wanted something similar to that.I had a friend named Devin who was a female in my childhood days. I met 2 boy Devins before. I still find it more masculine even though the first Devin I met was a girl.

I've only met one Devon and she was a gal. I didn't like the name before that... she made me like it.
I've only seen Devin on guys and it's very guy, probably because it reminds me of Kevin and Gavin.
