Nameberry's top names of 2021
Nameberry published a list of the names its users looked up most often this year. Here's the link: https://nameberry.com/popular_names/Nameberry
Most of them have been climbing the charts for the last few years. While I don't expect your opinion on 2000 names, did any of those nearer to the top stand out to you? Here are some from the top 100 that caught my attention, what do you think of them? Do you think they'll become (even more) popular?
Soren
Aurelia (I know it's rising, but I didn't expect it to be #1)
Cassius
Daphne
River
Adelaide
Cyrus
Mabel
Ambrose (one of the fastest rising names of 2020 on the American popularity charts)
Adeline
Emrys
Flora
Simon
Calliope

feminine list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/191050/124080

I like/love Daphne, River, Adelaide, Mabel, Adeline and Flora.
I like Daphne, Adeline, Calliope and Simon
Soren - this was popular in Germany in the 70s as Sören. I find it dated. But I guess it could catch on? I just don't really see anything interesting about it.
Aurelia - yes, definitely. It is Aurora's uncommon sister. I also believe that Aura will rise. But because Aurora is already quite common I don't think they will make it very far. Maybe lower top 100, but probably not even that. Aurelia sounds way better in English than Aurora.
Cassius - don't really see it. Harsh and makes me think of Cassandra which is a bit 90s.
Daphne - yes, but the DAF sound will turn some people off. It has Phoebe-potential (top 200 or so) but not Zoe or Chloe potential.
River - yes, I sort of expect this in the top 10. It is also possible that once people realize how it is no longer unique at all they will back off because I feel that it is often chosen by people who want something a bit different. So maybe it will go the same way as Ruby which also went up but is now sort of just hanging around. But I still think it has top 10 and even top 5 and #1 potential.
Adelaide - hmmm no, people will choose Ada instead. Adeline is on its way out already.
Cyrus - no way. Miley and Billy Ray.
Mabel - yeah. I have been waiting for this to get common since I was a teenager and it is still odd to me why it is taking so long (same with Ada). This is a name that should have been common 10 years ago already.

Yeah, Cassius jumped 384 steps in the last decade.
