Animal Names
The last few days I have been thinking about animal names again because of my previous post about flowers and another mention of a cow name. This had gotten me reflecting on my childhood growing up on a farm and the different animals we had and their names. So I wanted to ask What were some of your childhoods animals names if applicable? How do they correlate to your "human" taste in names? Are there names you like specifically on animals but notable not on people? Which ones do you like on both? Which names in general do you correlate to "animal like"? Here are some names I like the idea of on animals that I have never used but like in theory for this: Daffodil, Winston, Watson, Petunia, Rusty, Copper, Clover, Winter, Tilly, Posy, Poppy, Luna, Bruno, Polly, Douglas, BellaHere are some names I like on both people and animals alike: Charlie, Annabelle, Stella, Janie, Cleo, Roman, Ivy, Ginger, Saffron, Sophie, Beryl, Daphne, Nigel, Nova, Molly, Lucy,Millie, Natasha "Tasha", Basil,Ivy, Milo, Otto, OliverAnd here are (some) of the names of animals we had growing up on the farm. I won't specify species on them all because it would take too long but you can probably guess some. I'm also willing to wager some people could probably guess some of the animals I had named myself: Sampson, Libby, Chloe, Jack, Phoebe, Shadow, Guinevere, Pillow, Sarah (M), Rascal, Jasper, Elsa, Petal, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Maria, Little Man, Arthur, Calico, Jules, Sunflower, Daisy, Jezebel, Penny and Patches, Chipper and Nipper, Mister and Missy, Brutus, Ulric, Matilda, Whisper, Chester, Carter, Snowball, Nicole Wool, Bluebell, Booboo, Hortensia,Then of course there is my 1 and only current pet, my cat Rosamund Opal "Rose".
