Ione and she had it pronounced eye-Own-ah. I have no idea what the correct pronunciation is, sorry. I think Eye-o-nee sounds more dignified, whereas eye-O-nee sounds more rural and rustic, like a woman on a 1970s spaghetti western. I think I prefer the likes of
Ianthe and
Iolanthe myself but
Ione is interesting. It reminds me a lot of
Isla in sound and impressions.
