Slightly off-topic but I hadn't heard of The Starless Sea and, being a fan of Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies, I looked it up... seems to have some strong similarities to Sunless Seas. I was ready to be angry but I guess the author and the game studio are friendly and the similarities were approved. So now I'm adding it to my to-read because I love the Sunless games.

How embarrassing! I've got The Starless Sea (wonderful title) on my shelf, I've read it from cover to cover, but I can hardly remember anything about it, especially not a character named Mirabel. As a name, I feel a bit uneasy about it - what if a Mirabel person was bland and beige and forgettable? And, isn't there a man called Mirabel in some or other 18th century comedy? Though it may well have been his ln, of course...

It looks unfinished, I prefer Mirabelle.

Oh I have the book right here but haven't had a chance to read it yet. It will probably make me like the name, books usually do. Unless the character is awful.

It is cute but doesn't really do anything for me as of now. I like Maribel better, it feels more grown up.
