Skye
WDYT of Skye?
Replies
It's strong and bold and I want to like it, but despite my description I think the name is a bit dull / overdone.
Not a fan but I don’t like many geographical names. Several Scottish islands have been used as names and the only one I don’t mind is Ailsa
Other island names include
Skye
Iona
Islay pr Isla
Rona I admit more commonly spelt Rhona in the uk
Eilean sounds like Eileen
Arran
Lewis
Harris

I love the name! Maybe because I loved my visit to Isle of Skye, and I love nature names and this could be either. (I don’t normally like place names, so maybe I like it because it sounds like a nature name).
I suppose the -e makes it seem feminine rather than commemorating the island. But either way, it's geographical and that is something I don't enjoy in a name. It seems sillye.
It’s okay
I don't see a reason to add an 'e' at the end. I like it but I would never use it.
