Selah
Pronounced say-luh, not see-luh. This is the name of one of my sister’s friends and I’ve always thought it sounded so pretty and musical. I like the Selah pronunciation opposed to the Sela one, and I think it makes slightly more sense with the prn.WDYT?

Please rate my lists. All of them are ratable except for the Main list and the Surname list. :)New names! PNL updated 8/19https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/174843/136906

Yeah, I prefer the Selah spelling and the say-la pronunciation to Sela and see-la. It's pretty and is related to music and the vibe reflects that. I wouldn't use it though due to the pronunciation issues.

I agree with you on the pronounciation. I think it’s very pretty. I like the musical association.

Huh, I'd always thought it was said SEH-luh. But between SAY-luh and SEE-luh, I prefer SAY-luh too. It has an old-timey southern gothic feel to me. Very Gone With the Wind.
