Josephine/Josiane
What do you think of the name Josephine? And what do you think of Josiane? I'm not sure if I like Josiane, but I was wondering your opinions on it.

I like Josephine and Josephina a lot but I can't stand Josiane. It sounds so suburban!

Josephine is nmsaa, and I really dislike Josiane. Both names, especially Josiane, are extremely out dated in France. They would sound ridiculous to many people.

I like Josephine, but I don't care for Josiane. Interesting, though.

I prefer Josephine, although Josiane is also nice. Josephine seems a bit more regal, though, and it has a bunch of great, very cute nns: Joss, Josie, Sephie, Jo, Joey. Its on DH and mine's list, although admittedly a little lower down. Still, I'd use it.

I love Josephine (in top 5 for girls).Josiane I'm not sure on, It's ok for a nn but then I prefer Josie / Josette. I love Josiana though (medieval name).

I'm really liking Josephine, but I'd only use it as a mn I think. Josiane is not my style.

I love Josephine, but would only probably use it as a middle name (eg. Aurora Josephine). I don't really like the pet form Josiane...
How is it pronounced anyway? jo-see-an???
