Sounds like a name Americans would like? I am not sure about that, but I met a Sapphire. She is my daughter's age.
It took a while for me to get used to using the name when speaking to her, and it never quite seemed to fit. A couple people call her Saph.
I do really like Saffira or Sapphira though. Maybe it seems more complete. Fira is a really cool nickname too.
