Here in the Midwestern US Caitlin and her variants is like a staple of the 90s babies. I probably know more Caitlins/Kaylynns/Katherines/Katie's than any other name tbh. In general we were really big on the K and C names here in the late 80s to late 90s so in general I don't always like them and associate them with being a product of my own generation. (Soooooo many Kelly's, Chelsea's, Kelsey, Kaileys, Kimberly's, Kristen's, Christinas etc etc etc) it really is a shame because a lot of these names are very cute they've just been done to death here and start to all sound the exact same after a while

Also from the midwest and this is spot on. My best friend is a Catherine herself (though she was born in 2000).
