WDYTO Nathan?
My husband likes this names as do many family members (not that family has the final say). I am kinda torn it is not a name I ever thought of using. I have gone through lists and lists I liked Soren, Damien, Gabriel and a few others better. I think Nathan is kinda boring but everyone seems to love it. What do you guys/gals thinks of the name.

I absolutely LOVE it, but prefer it as a nickname for Nathaniel.

I really love it, it's one of my favorites. But if you really can't see yourself using it, you should keep looking.-- Sarah

I like Nathan as long as Nate is never even brought up. Nathan is one of those where I think it's a really nice name as long as they actually go by the full name.

I love the name Nathan. It's a classic name that sounds masculine and ages well imo. It's very nice :)

Hopefully no offence to this will be taken, but Nathan/Nathaniel are both names that I can't stand. They sound whiny to me. They remind me of a snot nosed skinny kid. Sorry sorry....just my opinion

I have always loved the name Nathan. It is classic and strong, and nearly every Nathan I've ever known has been a sweetheart. I don't find it at all boring, I think it's just beautiful. :)

I like the name Nathan. (It was the name of my first big crush when I was around 13 or 14... *sigh*)I like Gabriel too.Soren - it's ok, but that sore sound kind of sounds off to me.
Damien - too little-hellion sounding, not the name of a nice well-behaved child.

Nathan is an okay name but not my style. I would be more likely to use it as a middle name rather then a first. I think it could go well paired with Garbriel. I agree though that it is sort of boring.

What about Nathaniel or Nethaniel? If you go with Nathaniel, you could call him Nate, Nathan or Thane. If you like any of these nicknames better, you call him what you want and your husband calls him what he wants and everybody is happy. I like the spelling of Nethaniel because you could call him Ethan as well. Ethan means strong. Also, Nathaniel means given by God if you like religious names.
