To me Elisabeth is way prettier. I was almost named Olivia in 1985 and whenever my mom reminded me of this I'd shudder. It's just such a slithering, unpleasant name.

Maybe Elisabeth. I think I'm finally getting a little tired of Olivia. Elisabeth has so many pretty letters and soft turns like an old-fashioned garden maze. It's so intricate and unexpected. Olivia unfurls like every other beautiful Latinate name, smooth, photoshopped, almost no qualities except beauty. I do think it has some lovely dry qualities that make it more appealing than other names like this, but Elisabeth wins.
