Hello! I was just wondering what people thought of these names, and if they fit the OC i have above.
I'm looking for a fancier, or old-fashioned name - gothic, victorian, that aesthetic.
She's upper class but a spitfire, witty but very caring and warm. She looks very cute but is a secret badass - she's 4-foot-something of pure fight me. The name is given at birth by a dad who loves her very much but has to give her away at birth - something that haunts him, but he does it to try and keep her safe.
I'm looking for a fancier, or old-fashioned name - gothic, victorian, that aesthetic. Cobbled streets, hidden revolvers, quills dripping black ink on rough paper, dark alleys filled with whispers. Think Kaz from six of crows, of RDJ's
Sherlock Holmes.
First Names
Lumina - sunshine - Romanian. Too odd in English?
Elodia - riches; can't decide if I love or hate this one. I keep hearing 'Exodia' from Yugioh *facepalm*
Carina / Carena - little darling; too close to '
Karen?'
Aurelia - golden
Seraphina - fancy AF, and the meaning fits.
Liora or
Eliora- my light - sweet meaning, fits how he feels about her.
Adélie - a noble one - also the name of an adorable penguin. I know Adelheide is more popular, but 'laid' means ugly in french - ouch.
Danica -
Danny,
Dani - morning star (my friend said she looks 'angelic,' but is headstrong and stubborn - ergo, named after the one rebellious angel.)
Cordelia -
Dee,
Delia - heart, literally just the fanciest name we could think of XD
Alexandria /
Alessandra -
Andie, maybe
Annie - Man's defender
Violette,
Violetta,
Viola,
Viorica - purple flowers are her father's favorite, and she has purple tulips on her baby blanket - pretty much the only thing she has of him.
Carice - gentle, kindness
Vérène /
Veréna - respect, power, truth
Any that stand out? Any you see and go 'dear god not that?' Any ideas you got with that gothic-victorian feel?
