I first came across the name Aveline in the Dragon Age franchise, and I was struck by how lovely the name was (particularly in contrast to the tough-as-nails character in the game). I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Aveline in the wild.
As for pronunciation, I've always heard (and said) AV-ə-leen.
