Ariadne is anything but a boring name.
I like the mythological character and the story of the labyrinth, as well as the visual uniqueness of the name (the -dne ending). But sometimes I don't like saying it aloud. The same visual quirk isn't as aurally appealing, I guess.
Like Antigone, the name Ariadne takes charisma to carry off.
