Debating nicknames for Leonard
Hi! Which nickname do you think is better for Leonard. I like them both, and can't decide.
Lennie/Lenny or Leo? Have an incredible day/night!

None for me. Lenny is the most intuitive, sound wise. But I don't love it. I'm a big fan of Leonard Cohen, and I associate the name with him. He never seemed like a Lenny to me. Just Leonard.

It doesn't really need a nickname, in my opinion, so I vote "none". I like Leo better than Lenny but Leo doesn't really make sense for Leonard because in English Leonard sounds like LENN-ard, there is no Leo sound in there. So Lenny makes more sense but I really dislike it.
Lenny for me
The idea of a little Lenny just tickles me. I think tough guy names are hilarious and adorable.

Of itself, I like Leo better.
However as the English pronunciation of Leonard doesn't sound like Leo, or even Lee, I do not prefer Leo as a nickname for Leonard.
